Does tea from Kara contain caffeine?

Kara offers a diverse range of teas and tisanes to cater to every palate. While black, green, and oolong teas contain varying levels of caffeine, tisanes are herbal teas that are naturally caffeine-free. As tea is a natural crop, determining precise caffeine levels is challenging, making it impossible for us to provide definitive figures. However, the table below presents average caffeine levels typically found in different teas.

Please keep in mind that this chart serves as a general reference:

  • Black tea: 25-90mg
  • Oolong tea: 12-55mg
  • Green tea: 8-36mg

We kindly advise using this information as a guide, as individual caffeine content may vary.

Does Kara sell decaffeinated tea?

At Kara, we prioritize preserving the natural essence of our teas, which is why we do not offer any decaffeinated options in our collection. The decaffeination process involves the use of chemicals that can impact the flavor and overall quality of the tea. Instead, we invite you to explore our delightful range of tisanes. These herbal teas are skillfully crafted by blending a harmonious mix of herbs, spices, fruits, and flowers, sans any tea leaves, to create unique and flavorful brews.

What makes tea a healthy beverage?

Tea contains naturally occurring compounds such as polyphenols, catechins, and flavonoids, which serve as antioxidants. These valuable components contribute to the health benefits of tea, making it a highly recommended beverage for daily consumption.

How should I store my Kara tea?

For optimal flavor and freshness, we advise safeguarding the vibrancy and deliciousness of your tea by storing it in an airtight tin or a dark glass jar, shielded from direct sunlight and moisture. This careful storage method helps preserve the exquisite qualities of your tea, ensuring each cup remains a delightful experience.

Does the temperature of water affect the taste of tea?

Absolutely! Each type of tea requires a specific water temperature for optimal steeping. It's crucial to avoid over-brewing, as it can lead to the tea leaves being burned and negatively impact the taste. Here's a helpful guide for your reference:

WATER TEMPERATURES FOR STEEPING VARIOUS TEA TYPES:

  1. Green Tea: Steep at 170° to 180°F.
  2. Oolong Tea: Steep at 180° to 200°F.
  3. Black Tea: Steep at 190° to 200°F.

By following these recommended water temperatures, you can unlock the full potential of each tea, ensuring a delightful and well-balanced brew every time.

How much quantity of tea is essential for one cup?

The amount of tea leaves needed may vary based on the type of tea being prepared. For instance, when brewing a cup of Green tea, it is recommended to use 1-2 grams of tea leaves for every 180ml of water. In the case of CTC tea, the suggested quantity is 2-3 grams of tea leaves for the same 180ml measurement. Adjusting the tea-to-water ratio ensures optimal flavor extraction and allows you to enjoy the true essence of each tea variety.

Are there any harmful effects of tea?

When consumed in moderation, tea poses no harm to the body. However, excessive consumption can lead to acidity-related issues. Additionally, pregnant women should exercise caution with caffeinated teas and consult their healthcare professionals before including any type of tea in their diet during pregnancy. It's always advisable to seek medical advice to ensure the most suitable choices for individual circumstances.

How can we add tea to our daily routine?

Incorporating green tea into your daily routine is a simple endeavor that offers numerous benefits. Begin by identifying your motivation for consuming tea. For instance, if you seek improved digestion, start with a single cup after your meals. Making tea a seamless part of your everyday regimen is effortless, ensuring you enjoy its advantages while savoring a delightful and personalized experience.
