How to Brew - Iced Chai
- Steep 2-4 tsp loose tea or 2 tea bags in 100ml (3.5oz) of hot water (almost boiling) for 3-5 minutes.
- Strain the tea (or remove the tea bag) to avoid over-steeping. Add honey, maple syrup, sugar or any sweetener if you like.
- Let the tea cool down to room temperature, then add ice and 100ml (3.5oz) cold milk, and enjoy!
Dairy milk will impart a creamier and richer flavor, while almond, soy, or oat milk options offer a dairy-free alternative with equally delightful results.

We stumbled upon Kara at a pop up type market this past fall. The knowledgeable and friendly service was excellent. They patiently explained their teas; how they were selected; what set them apart from others; and engaged us in conversation as we tried different samples.
I tried various chais that they blended and enjoyed them. My favourite was Kadak Masala. The tea is full of flavour. Unlike mass produced chai this tasted authentic. It took me down memory lane from when I spent 6 months in India. It took me back there. I now make at least one cup a day. Love it..

This tea masala is a perfect blend of spices needed to make an aromatic, soul-warming hot cup of Indian Chai! Normally, if you just add the readily available market tea leaves, the flavors are not so robust and aromatic. Teas by Kara's Kadak masala gives you this perfect cup of tea that will refresh your mind. The tea leaves are already blended with the other spices such as ginger, black pepper, cardamon etc, so it saves time and energy and a novice can also make a perfect cup if tea - (no need to worry about adding too much or too less of other spices) - that one would normally remember having in India. So, I would full-heartedly recommend this tea blend to anyone who craves a strong and flavorful garam chai (hot tea :)) - Especially use this when you are having a tea party with your friends!!
